Leda Moreno - Diariamente
BackLeda Brunhill Moreno Hohmann was born on May 26th, 1945 on México DF, her parents were mexican chemical engineer Mario Moreno and german girl Margot Hohmann Kuhlmann. Leda had an european style education. Her mother raised on her a taste for music. Leda studied at The Universidad Femenina de México where she met Diego de Cossío, who invite her to the "tardeadas" (music jams) of the Black Jeans in César Costa's house. When the Black Jeans recorded his first album they invite her to do vocals. There she met Lalo Carrión (from Los Hermanos Carrión) who told her she can sing professionaly. At 16, Leda sang Neil Sedaka's "Little devil" for Columbia and got a recording contract. Most of the songs she recorded were german songs like his first hit "La montañesa" a yodel tune. She only recorded two albums on 1961 and 1962 but they got great songs like "El Diablito Loco", "La Carrera", "El Trenecito", "Angelito", "Corazón", "El cielo lloró", "Déjame ir", "Primer aniversario", "Ruleta" and some more. She translated to spanish many of the rock'n'roll classics of the 50s and 60s. On August 14, 1965 she married Rudy De Wolff, member of Los Blue Diamonds and she left her singing career.
